I hope everyone had a great Hospital Week and Nurses’ Week. Boy, there was a lot of celebrating going on, and the festivities continued into the weekend with Mother's Day. A mother is one thing that we all have in common. Our family took time this weekend to celebrate the lives of all the mothers who have impacted our family. When you think about them it really makes you appreciate the role that they play. They provide love, encouragement, hope, caring, compassion, and the list goes on.

Hundreds of entries were received, nurses from the country waited in anticipation, and the DeKalb Medical Resource Team came out on top as one of the top 10 ADVANCE for Nurses 2012 National Best Nursing Teams.  Congratulations, and keep up the great work!  Click here to read the full article.

Congratulations to Nikki LaToya Hudson for being promoted to, the Manager of Patient Access (ED/ CRC/ OB/ DTC/ Insurance Verification Reps)! Nikki received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Clark Atlanta University, and she completed her MBA at the University of Phoenix. She has lived in the Metro-Atlanta area for 16 years and previously worked as the Patient Access Supervisor. Her future goals for the department are to increase quality assurance, increase patient collections, decrease registration wait times and increase the overall customer satisfaction scores.
